ICU Worlds recap
In case you missed it, ICU Worlds took place last week and showcased some of the most impressive skills in cheerleading!
First of all, the now infamous fire alarm went off (two times apparently) in the middle of the competition (just like at Worlds last year & NCA this year)…
It really was the year for Team USA, who took home the gold in prestigious divisions like Junior All Girl Elite, Junior Coed Elite, All Girl Premier, AND Coed Premier!
The USA took home the most medals in total (19), followed by Japan (12):
A few other moments:
The Team Germany athlete who did NOT skip leg day at the gym…
The most graceful way to get down from a shoulder sit you’ll see
Norway took home the bronze medal in both All Girl & Coed Premier!

What has happened so far? Well, a lot… Here are some standout moments:
Payton (who was injured last week *trigger warning: gun violence*) watching her Woodlands Elite Generals teammates over Facetime left everyone in tears
Maryland Twisters F5 (Senior Open 6) & Spirit of Texas A-Team (Medium Senior 6) both won for the first time since 2016
CJA Bombshells took home their third gold in a row!
Wedding proposals at Worlds will never not be the cutest thing 🥹
Something we did not think we would see at Worlds: “Leave Brittany alone!”
The California All Stars Cali Coed (International Open Small Coed 6) won for the first time since 2011!
Is this the best-dressed coach at the competition? We think so
ICE Lady Lightning went back-to-back in the Small Senior 6 division, showing how it’s done
The first Non-Tumbling team to win Worlds back-to-back: Adam & Eve from Twist & Shout!
Last year, MACs Senior Starz disrupted the Small Coed division, which had only been won by Cali Smoed, Brandon Senior Black & Prodigy Midnight for many years. This time, KC Cheer Fierce Five made history winning the division & their first-ever Worlds title!
