HIGHLIGHTS:
Big East Blast + Showdown 🇨🇦 We have a bunch of highlights from Canada thanks to our reporters 🫶
Beach Cheer Athletics (BCA) dominated by sweeping judges' choice awards (Canada's version of grand champs) in Levels 1–4. A standout moment? A 65-year-old athlete competing! Less fun: a stomach bug left many athletes sick before hitting the stage.
Day 2’s Showdown had teams competing against the entire level, not just their division. Plus, bids to the invite-only Canadian Finals were awarded to: Alpha Cheer - Warriors, Beach Cheer Athletics - Breakers, Sonic, Waverunners, Surge & Rapids, TR Cheer - Outsiders, Kingston Elite - Lace, Smoke, Ice, Sapphire & Rose, Black Widow Cheer Gym - Poison & Mania, and Cheer Sport Sharks - Bermuda Sharks.
Nordic Championship 💜
For the first time in years, teams from Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden battled it out for the Nordic Champion title! We had such a fun weekend there and saw seriously underrated talent.
A few standout teams: HAC Youth Extreme (Finland), Funky Team Wild Monkeys (Finland), Pyrintö Cheer Team Lightnings (Finland), Viqueens Cheerleaders Unique (Norway), NRC Tigers Senior Coed Elite (Norway), Aarhus Tigers Cheerleaders Untamed (Denmark), Kristianstad Starlight Cheer Xtreme Stars (Sweden), Gothenburg Cheer One Wildcats (Sweden)
