Varsity Spirit President Responds to NYT Article with Open Letter
If you haven’t been living under a rock this week, you’ve probably seen the buzz about the New York Times article on Varsity Spirit.
If you did miss it, here’s our recap and summary:
In what appears to be a response to the NYT’s negative coverage, Varsity Brands President Bill Seely has released an open letter. Here’s the link to read it.
Wheelchair Fundraiser for Team England Adaptive Abilities Advanced
A fundraiser has been launched to help Team England Adaptive Abilities (formerly ParaCheer) Advanced raise funds for two specialized wheelchairs for wheelchair-using bases.
These wheelchairs cost about £5,000 (~$6,500) each and are essential for safely supporting the athletes during stunts.
If you can donate, please do so via this link.
We encourage you to share this, even if you can’t donate. We need to make cheerleading more inclusive and support athletes everywhere!
