Varsity Announces European Summit Championship!
Last week, we hinted about upcoming news from Varsity, seemingly related to Europe.
It’s now official: they have announced The European Summit Championship, a new end-of-season competition that promises to be a prime event for athletes across the continent.
The first-ever competition will take place on June 27-28, 2026 in Portugal.

High school… we repeat: high school athletes! The 2025 competition is no exception when it comes to crazy skills. You can find many highlights on social media, like here on Twitter/X.

HIGHLIGHTS:
Ontario Championships 🇨🇦 Some major moments from the competition, brought to you by our reporters!
Steelfin Sharks: The music stopped during their Day 2 routine, but the crowd and backstage teams kept counting—only in cheerleading!
Big Travels: Teams from Vancouver, Quebec, and Ottawa came to compete for Worlds bids. Miss Ice (U12 Level 3) from Vancouver traveled across the country (no local competitors) and placed 2nd ❄️
Worlds Bids:
TR Cheer Magma secured a partial paid bid—now 2/3 of TR’s Worlds teams have partial paid bids!
PCT Temptation earned their second partial paid bid this season after a roster change 🔥
Only 6 at-large bids and 2 partial paid remain in Ontario.
CheerStrike Royals won two Canadian finals bids, in the challenging U16 Level 3 and U18 Level 4 divisions.
Tough Divisions: U18 Level 4 and U16 Level 4 were absolute battles! Even if hitting, teams moved 2–3 placements between Day 1 and Day 2, with margins of .10ths of points. Scores reached highs of 126–128!
